Scalextric at the Ideal Home Exhibition London



The Ideal Home Exhibition will be home to two Scalextric features.
Visit these areas:
The Games Lounge where Scalextric, the world famous slot racing brand, will be one of the main features.
Come and race against the clock on the incredible 18ft long Scalextric replica of Silverstone track. Some amazing prizes are up for grabs and will be awarded to the 10 quickest racers at the show. The top three fastest will win the Scalextric boxed sets, Digital World Championship, (worth £260), TopGear
Powerlaps (worth £100) and Street Sliderz worth £91.50.
Smarter Living has pride of place at the Ideal Home Exhibition and in its 'master bedroom' area will feature a Scalextric Digital layout as an integral part of the special feature that this room holds. We can't say anymore at this point, you will have to visit the show to see what happens!

In 1962, the English company Lines Bros Ltd, owner of the trademark Scalextric , signed a contract with the Spanish company Exin . This Spanish company would sell the Scalextric products in Spain and Portugal, manufacturing everything but the cars in Spain. After some time, even the cars would be done in Spain. SCX, Scalextric in Spain

SCX, Scalextric in Spain has had a long history, and a lot of problems. Its beginnings, and the curiosity of the shared name with the British company Scalextric, Superslots in Spain, is explained in one of my first posts  Spanish Scalextric or SCX in the rest of the world . After Tecnitoys, the brand belonged to fabrica de juguetes  Fabrica de juguetes from 2012 to 2016. After many problems and keeping a toy line called WRC  WRC , the brand Scalextric/SCX belongs from 2017 to  Scale Competition Xtreme, SL. (SCX, SL.)   Scalextric . This new company has started focusing on the 1/43 line, will they work as a toy company or will they be back in the hobby field? Please share your thoughts. And Merry Christmas! JJ Slot Cars

I was surfing the net when I found this interesting slot cars producer, a chinese company named Jin Jun toys . If we check some of their slot cars sets the boxes are amazingly close to ??? Yes, maybe they built them in China for the Euroepean company and now they are using the know-how. Has anybody tried them? how do they work? I´ll try to get a set and post about it.
