SCX® presents the imposing Hummer H3, the third civilian version of the popular four-wheel drive from the American manufacturer. This five-door model keeps the charismatic lines of its predecessors, but with measurements which are more in line with European standards.
The model brought to you this time by SCX® is large in size with a blue and black colour
scheme, with the darker part highlighting an aggressive design which is highly appropriate to a four-wheel drive. The spectacular front end has a pair of headlights at the sides as well as the two usual ones, in addition to which four more are fitted below the radiator. All the lights are in eye-catching silver and all of them light up on this model. In the place of the front number plate
is a “Mile Marker” logo.
The bonnet of the Hummer H3 has a black air intake, alongside which is the car’s race number (760) and above it the word “HUMMER”. There is no windscreen and above the drivers there is a grey structure with four large lights, which you will also see lighting up on the track. Under these the name of this four-wheel drive’s American manufacturer appears once more.
The rear view mirrors are silver in colour and the side windows on both the driver’s and co-driver’s side are covered by grilles. The race number takes up nearly the whole of the small rear side windows. On the doors are the names of the vehicle’s two occupants, Rod Hall and Mike Winkel.
SCX® reproduces the different sponsors’ logos all over the side of the vehicle, especially
towards the back, which also features the silver-coloured petrol cap. All the logos are in silver or white, except “Score International”, which combines black, red and white. The wheels are eye-catchingly large in diameter.
The only logo at the back of this Hummer H3 is that of the manufacturer, above the rear
window, accompanied by the car’s race number. The rear lights are rectangular and vertical to take up the minimum of space, and there is a silver-coloured protective bar under them.
The only decoration on the roof is the car’s race number. Inside a spare wheel can be seen,
along with anti-roll bars and the figures of the driver and co-driver. All of this packed into this little monster from SCX®.

The engine in the Hummer H3 is a Vortec 3500, with five cylinders in line and a twin camshaft on the cylinder head and variable valve timing, delivering 220 horsepower and 225 pounds of torque. One of the H3’s main new features is that it is the first member of its family to come equipped with five-speed manual transmission. It also comes with electronically-controlled 4-speed automatic transmission.
