SLOT CARS

I know, I know, it isn't a slot car, but I do like this commercial and yes, I am a Windows phone fan boy. HP Elite X#

Every time I go to a toy store, slot cars are becoming more difficult to find and if found, they are cheap Chinese toys, not hobby items. With a stronger competence from technological devices (drones, gaming consoles, ...) and a declining slot car hobbyist population, is this going to have a crisis like in the 80's or will it completely disappear?  If I follow my family/friends example (children, nephews, friend's children...) NONE of them is playing slots, so, I could be the last one. How is it going in your family/friends group?  is it still alive? Please share your opinions/ideas.
