Carrera store in the United States!

Dear Carrera Fan, Do you want to see some great pics? The new "G. Willikers - Specialty Store" in Old Sacramento, California has its own little Carrera-world. The store's concept is to sell toys that have an intrinsic value and have been proven winners in the past. The store is laid out so the children and parents can actually play with the toys they may want to buy. The Carrera display there is a spiral that starts on the bottom goes to the top - similar to a spiral stair-case and then decends back to the bottom. It is about 20' long (6.66 m) by about 10' (3m) wide and shaped like the letter T. ...but just look through the pictures - you'll like them!

I was surfing the net when I found this interesting slot cars producer, a chinese company named Jin Jun toys . If we check some of their slot cars sets the boxes are amazingly close to ??? Yes, maybe they built them in China for the Euroepean company and now they are using the know-how. Has anybody tried them? how do they work? I´ll try to get a set and post about it. In 1962, the English company Lines Bros Ltd, owner of the trademark Scalextric , signed a contract with the Spanish company Exin . This Spanish company would sell the Scalextric products in Spain and Portugal, manufacturing everything but the cars in Spain. After some time, even the cars would be done in Spain. Exin created soon their own line of models, being the first one the famous Seat 600 in 1966. In 1971 Lines Bros Ltd, as a result of its financial problems, sold the Scalextric line of products to Dunbee , Combex and Marx. Exin went on being a subsidiary of Scalextric and selling their products in Spain. And they got more independence from the mother company. At this time Scalextric decided to sell more quantity with less quality and Exin decided the opposite. These were the golden years of Spanish Scalextric .
