Formula 1 Mac Laren SCX Compact Fernando Alonso

The MP4-22 has the cockpit lower to the previous models, according to the demands of the double champion Fernando Alonso. With this model he is trying to renew the titles obtained in 2005 and 2006 with Renault and become one of the famous drivers winning three Formula 1 championships. The car was tested by Alonso in middle January in the McLaren official presentation in Valencia. The MP4-22, that started to be designed at the end of 2005 and was finished last summer (2006), keeps only 5% of the approximately 11,500 pieces of the previous model. The rear wing also supports several changes, resting now in a central support and two lateral ones, similarly to that of the R26, that allowed him to renew the title. The nose is still keeping very low but the extractors in the lateral sidepods are bigger to channel the air better towards the rear wing, although one of the most radical changes that has been introduced in the new car is the rear diffusor. Aerodynamically, the car is about 95% new. M...

Scx compact (1/43) Nascar cars

Hello again. Last weekend I finally got my first two SCX compact cars. They are the Ford Fusion Office Depot #99 and De Walt #17. As soon as I can I will try them in the 1/43 track I have (it is an Artin one with few volts, so I do not know how they will run). But today, I can show their first picture, still inside the box. As soon as I try them, I will post pictures of them alone and comparing with Artin 1/43 and Carrera Go slot cars. The first impression is they are bigger, that is for real, and they look better. See you soon. I forgot to say, the price is good, very good if you compare with Carrera Go and even with Artin (or their second name, Fast Lane), is $19.99 for both of them.

Brabham BT46

Here you have a Brabham BT46 formula 1 racing car. It was designed by Gordon Murray for the 1978 Formula One season. Brabham team was owned by Bernie Ecclestone (nowadays the owner of the Formula 1 Championship. This car with a powerful Alfa Romeo engine, raced competitively with modified nose-mounted radiators for most of the year, driven by John Watson winning one race. His teammate was Niki Lauda. They scored enough points for the team to finish third in the constructors championship.

SCX Compact cars

Here you have four pictures of the new SCX compact cars. They are 1/43, so they do not have so many details as the 1/32, but you must think this is mainly thought for kids from 4 to 8. Besides they are much better than the 1/43 Artin models (even the tracks are much better). I can only wish luck to SCX in this adventure. Thank you Target and thank you SCX. "Buena suerte".

Chevrolet Corvette

This is the famous Chevrolet Corvette C5R driven by Scott Pruett, J O'Connell & Ron Fellows in Le Mans 2001. Team Corvette Racing, qualified with the 27th best time and finished in the 8th position after 278 laps, the winner did 321 laps (Audi R-8, Audi Sport TThe C5-R was a racecar built by Pratt & Miller for GM Racing. It was based on the C5 road car but had a longer wheelbase, wider track, an enlarged 7.0 L V8 and different bodywork with exposed headlamps. It is raced in the American LeMans Series in the GTS Class and has been to four Le Mans 24 Hours races. The car's remarkable 2001 racing season produced eight victories in ten races, including an overall win in the Daytona 24. In 2002 the C5-R repeated its one-two victory at Le Mans and also dominated the GTS class in the American Le Mans Series. A new transaxle unit replaced the previous year's separate transmission and differential. Corvette faced stiff competition from the new Prodrive Ferrari 550 which led...

Scale preference

Hello, with the poll finished, 40% chose 1/32 and HO and 20% 1/43. So I think nobody has 1/24 slot cars or nobody likes them. So I will concentrate in the first two scales, the ones preferred by the voters.

BMW 323i E46 (1/32)

The BMW 3 Series is an entry-level luxury car / compact executive car manufactured by the German automaker BMW since May 1975. It was the successor to the 2002 coupe , retaining much of that car's styling while adding a more powerful 2.0 L 110 hp (82 kW) engine and other performance enhancements. The 3 Series was for some time the smallest car line manufactured by BMW (exempting the BMW-owned MINI ), although that place was in 2004 taken by the BMW 1 Series . The 3 Series is BMW's best selling automobile, accounting for nearly 40% of all automobiles sold by the company in 2005. [1] .The 3 Series is the best selling luxury sedan in the United States — 98,000 vehicles were sold in 2005. [2] The E46 chassis began to replace the E36 specification for 1998. Only the 4-door sedans were updated that year. The E36 coupĂ© and touring models lasted one more year until the E46 replacements arrived for model year 2000. The 2.8 L cars were called 328 while 2.5 L cars got the confusing ...
